Prom Dress Shopping

28 Apr

Wanted to get a post out really quickly.  Life has been busy and crazy and I haven’t had a chance to take a breath, but here I am, right in the middle of this and that, and I decided it’d be best to just sit down, take a breath, and well you know, write!

I went out with my bestie Kristin last night.  It was fun!  I can’t believe how packed the mall is on a Friday night.  I’ll have to remember to avoid it (unless of course I want to go people watching).  We were in search for the perfect prom dress.  And we ended up finding one for $30 (yay for prom season being freshly over)!  She tried on this one but ended up going with an emerald sheath dress.

I can’t believe how fun Kristin is to hang out with, and how glad I am that our lives calmed down enough to get to hang out for a couple of hours.  🙂

Neither of us went to prom in high school, so it’s fun and funny that she gets to go now.  And even better that we waited to go shopping till the last minute and all of the dresses are so inexpensive!!

Easter

8 Apr

Easter was pretty much the best holiday I’ve had in a while, besides maybe Christmas and of course, my birthday.  🙂

My sister started texting me early in the morning after finding out I wanted to attend the family get together this year (I try to avoid awkward family situations as much as possible, but I couldn’t stand being away from my baby (and adult) cousins for another holiday). She found out the day before and was “totally shocked.”

All in all, I’m super glad I went, though I do regret only bringing veggie sticks… next time the mashed potatoes are all mine.  Muhahahaha.  (I make bomb.com mashed potatoes).

My sister, her boyfriend, my boyfriend, Krissy, and my adorable freshly five year old cousin Wesley (he couldn’t wait to tell me about his birthday the second I walked through the door), played an epic game of hide n’ go seek on my parents’ property.  I was wearing adorable red patent leather stilettos and I definitely got my work out on running up and down hills and diving into dog kennels.

It was super fun.  But Wesley kept coughing and we all wanted dessert so we retired our competitive game and went inside for cupcakes and ice cream and then decided to play some air hockey.  🙂  I freakin’ love air hockey.  I still remember getting that table for Christmas, and I still remember some epic games from my younger years.  Turns out, I’m still just as competitive.  Also turns out, that me and my sister on a team equals even more competitive.

We lost, by the way.  🙂

Pechanga Party

8 Apr

Me and Jackie went to this party at Pechanga yesterday.  I had no idea who anyone was or what the party was for.  In fact, I was pretty sure it was just a “party party”, but it wasn’t.  It turned out to be a 21st Birthday Party for a guy name Paul.

Note my look of shock at finding out I came without a present to a birthday party…

Lucky for me, it was 21, so the birthday boy was a little too stressed about everyone having fun, and a little to drunk to care.

Also, my bartending skills were updated.  I know now, never ever Ever EVER to drink, or let anyone else that i remotely like, to drink Jose Cuervo Gold.  Blegch!  Seriously, I’m a tequila girl and that stuff was insufferable.

Now it’s time for a shameless plug…

Time for what will probably be an eventful Easter Dunch.  Happy Easter fellow bloggers and faithful readers!!

Cosmoprof Run

6 Apr

Okay, seriously.

I

LOVE

COSMOPROF!!

I don’t know why I neglect it (probably because I want to spend my entire fortune there…. but you can’t beat wholesale prices on designer hair, skin, and nail products.  OPI nail polish goes for $3.25 regularly, and I bought 300 gold bobby pins for 5  bucks (if I had gotten brown or black pins, I could’ve gotten a pound for the same price (about 720 pins!!)).  That doesn’t happen anywhere else, in fact it makes the 1600 hours and 16000 dollars of beauty school totally worth it.  Totally.

I was in desperate need of hairspray, hence the trip, and CJ propelled it further by getting a new style that needed some Mitch Reshaper.  I ❤ Paul Mitchell products!!  They have one of my favorite hairsprays, Super  Clean.  I love curls, and I believe strongly that every girl loves curls.  However, nobody wants icky, crunchy untouchable curls.  Super clean gives you all day hold without the crunch.  Can’t beat that.

I also wanted to try the Tigi (Bed Head) Totally Baked.  I saw this ad campaign for it, and I was in need of heat protectant.  I’ll let you all know how I like it once I’ve used it!  🙂

Gangsta Pants

6 Apr

Went to Goodwill, and couldn’t find an espresso machine.  Darn you Chad!!  Me and CJ did happen to find some awesome jeans, (he got way more excited than I thought he would) we decided we could put them on both of us and still have room for more (may be a great idea for a car rally).
