What Everyone Should Know About Unwanted Pigments in Haircolor

16 Aug

It happens all the time. Hair color doesn’t always turn out the way you want it too. Your blonde pulls yellow, your browns redden and the reds turn orange. There’s no excuse for living with hair that you hate, and you don’t have to anymore.

The First Lime

8 Jul

I found this super cute blog today while I was looking at fonts.  I think it’s time for a bit of a handwriting makeover.

The site is called TheFirstLime.  It’s written by this “14 (almost 15!)” year old girl that’s obsessed with her dog and cute things.  The site is filled with her cute drawings, and she even has a section on cute hairstyles etc.  Mostly I love her drawings and the way she edits her photos.  This girl has a lot of personality and reading her blog is like flipping through an awesome Coffee Table Book.

There’s Something About Carrie

13 Jun

I remember always sneaking upstairs at night to watch Sex and the City.  I think it came on at 11:00 p.m.  I don’t know why I liked it then.  I hated Carrie’s hair.  I’ve watched it a couple of times since then.  Just binged on it, you know?  And today, I finally think it clicked why I’ve watched it.  Carrie has just ended up on my role models list in this total phase of enlightenment.  I feel like some people would be horrified, but who cares what they think, right?

Carrie’s cool.  She marches to the beat of her own drum.  She does things because she wants to; she’s very in tune with herself.  I love it!  After watching just two episodes tonight on HBO Go, I read this entire blog about her.  (I’m obsessive like that.)

I love clothes(duh, I’m a girl), and yes, it is a style site, but when it comes to Carrie, her style is her.  You can look at any of her outfits and ask, “What was she feeling?” and the clothes would tell you (well, they’d probably shout it at you).  It’s cool.  It would be awesome to know myself that well, to truly know what I’m feeling at all times.  How do you feel more?  How do you become in tune with those feelings?  I feel like I have a lot to learn from her.

And this last one is because I also find a lot of inspiration in Blake Lively’s style as well.

Cosmoprof Run

Okay, seriously.

I

LOVE

COSMOPROF!!

I don’t know why I neglect it (probably because I want to spend my entire fortune there…. but you can’t beat wholesale prices on designer hair, skin, and nail products.  OPI nail polish goes for $3.25 regularly, and I bought 300 gold bobby pins for 5  bucks (if I had gotten brown or black pins, I could’ve gotten a pound for the same price (about 720 pins!!)).  That doesn’t happen anywhere else, in fact it makes the 1600 hours and 16000 dollars of beauty school totally worth it.  Totally.

I was in desperate need of hairspray, hence the trip, and CJ propelled it further by getting a new style that needed some Mitch Reshaper.  I ❤ Paul Mitchell products!!  They have one of my favorite hairsprays, Super  Clean.  I love curls, and I believe strongly that every girl loves curls.  However, nobody wants icky, crunchy untouchable curls.  Super clean gives you all day hold without the crunch.  Can’t beat that.

I also wanted to try the Tigi (Bed Head) Totally Baked.  I saw this ad campaign for it, and I was in need of heat protectant.  I’ll let you all know how I like it once I’ve used it!  🙂
